What are precast solid walls?

They’re factory-made concrete wall panels (solid throughout, no insulation core like sandwich panels) that are transported to site and installed as part of the building structure or wall system.

Where are precast solid walls typically used?

Ours are mostly used in a residential setting, but they can also be used in:

   Industrial and warehouse buildings
  Data centers
  Parking structures
  Residential and mixed-use buildings
  Schools and hospitals

Basically anywhere you want durability, speed, and quality control.

How thick are precast solid walls?

Panels are 5" Columns are 20" with various heights.

The panels are 12' wide but a few inches are inserted into the columns.

Are precast solid walls load-bearing?

Yes, they can be.
They’re used as: Load-bearing walls, Retaining walls, Cladding / façade panels (non-load-bearing), it all depends on the design. We need to know what the application needs are so that the panels can be manufactured to the appropriate specifications. Load-Bearing and Retaining panels have different or additional rebar inside of them to make them strong enough for the application.

How do precast solid walls compare to cast-in-place concrete?

Precast advantages:

  Faster construction
 Better quality control (factory conditions)
 Less site labor
 Cleaner jobsite

Cast-in-place advantages:

More flexibility for late design changes
 No transport size limits

How durable are precast solid walls?

Very. They resist weathering, impact, fire, and mold and rot
Service life often exceeds 50–75 years with   minimal maintenance.
